Is computer simulation used?
Yes, computer simulation allows the possible result to be presented.
What type of anesthesia is required?
For nose correction a general anesthetic is required.
Will I have a plaster nose cast?
Yes, this will be removed after approx. 1 week.
Can I breathe with the cast?
Breathing is not obstructed.
How long is the tamponade in place?
As a rule the tamponade is removed a few hours after the operation .
Is there swelling?
Slight swelling is possible, however this disappears after seven days.
Are there any risks associated with the operation?
If any unevenness is left after the operation, a small correction may be required.
When can I resume work?
The plaster cast is removed after one week. Strips of adhesive plaster are applied for a further week. After this time normal social activities can be resumed.
Will my health insurance pay?
Costs may be carried by the health insurance if a doctor´s report certifies that the function of the nose was impaired.
