A good surgeon is distinguished by being constantly prepared for all possible complications. This requires thorough training, experience and careful and conscientious working methods. When these conditions are fulfilled, serious complications in aesthetic plastic surgery are extremely rare.

A cosmetic operation does not always produce the desired effect immediately. With some procedures it is not uncommon for corrective measures to be required.  This is most frequent for liposuction and rhinoplasty. The corrective revisons are usually minor measures involving little or no costs to the patient.

In cosmetic operations you have to differentiate between various operations.  It always depends on the individual case.  For children, for example, protruding ears can lead to teasing even in the kindergarten.  An over-sized nose can dominate a delicate face and give the owner the feeling of being a figure of fun.  If the facial contours have become slack and the person appears tired and unfriendly, although they themselves feel full of energy and life, a face lift can give a new feeling of self-confidence. If the body contours have altered due to illness, pregnancy or weight problems, then breast correction, liposuction or a body lift can achieve a heightened feeling of well-being. There has been no strict age limit for several years now. The person carrying out the treatment must decide in each individual case whether a cosmetic operation is advisable.
