Dr. Dr. Frank Muggenthaler

Dr. Dr. Frank Muggenthaler has dual German-Swiss citizenship. After studying Medicine and Dentistry, he specialised in the field of facial plastic surgery at the renowned Clinic for Maxillo-facial Surgery at the University of Düsseldorf before taking up a post as Senior Surgeon in the Department of Plastic Surgery at St. Josefs Hospital in Krefeld. He gained expertise in aesthetic plastic surgery through his training with  Prof. Bruce Connell, Los Angeles and Prof. Robert Flowers, Hawaii. Since 1995 he has operated a Clinic for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Freiburg and has worked in his own private practice in Basle since 2006.

Two generations dedicated to the service of beauty

The professional career of Dr. Dr. Frank Muggenthaler has been influenced very much by his father, a pioneer in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. After intensive studies in the USA,  Dr. Hermann Muggenthaler devoted his medical skills to the service of aesthetic plastic surgery as early as the 1950s. In 1968 he opened the Clinic for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Karlsruhe and in 1971 founded the German Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
